Risk Management

Risk management is the practice of dealing with risk through careful identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring. The Risk Management Office aims to provide university leadership with the information and resources necessary to set the appropriate level of risk tolerance for BYU, to prioritize risks, and to choose effective response strategies.

Risk Management provides services in the following main areas: insurance, incident reporting and investigation, claims resolution, contract review and risk transfer, special event approval, minor protection, and unmanned aircraft system permitting.
