Event Approval Request
For the purposes of the Risk Management and Safety review, “Event” means any activity planned or organized by a campus unit or BYU-affiliated organization (such as alumni or performing groups).
Risk Management and Safety reviews Events to identify and manage risks to individuals and the university and it may impose requirements specific to the Event to address such risks. Risk Management and Safety reserves the right to interpret, revise, amend or withdraw Event requirements at its discretion.
In general, Risk Management and Safety requires two weeks to process Event requests. Some Events may take longer to process depending on the complexity of the Event.
