What is Risk Management?

Risk Management provides risk assessment for health and safety, environmental compliance, potential emergency response activities, insurance and worker's compensation. Risk Management is also the primary interface with government regulatory agencies such as the EPA, OSHA, NRC, DOT, the CDC and several others. Risk Management is the primary resource for specific training for individual departments on campus on such topics as hazardous chemicals handling, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, fall protection, and many other health and safety topics. Department personnel are available to carry out hazard assessments for any organization on campus.
