Environmental Management helps ensure campus compliance to Environmental State and Federal rules and regulations by:
Properly removing, storing, and disposing of unwanted laboratory materials (ex: hazardous waste), such as chemicals, biological, solid, and universal waste.
Inspecting and reporting on all petroleum containing equipment, to prevent leaks and/or spill from entering sewer and/or storm water drains.
Following all requirements for the campus air quality permit by performing record keeping of all large campus emission sources and then reporting those emissions to the State.
Assist with cleaning small chemical spills on campus and working with outside agencies on larger spills.
Calculating and submitting various annual reports, such as Greenhouse Gases, Sulfur Dioxide, and Tier II (or Right-to-Know).
Request a pickup of an existing container or replacement container (pickups should be scheduled when the container is approximately 80% full), OR request a container for your unwanted material type.
