SUMMARY

Who is required to take the Van Driving Class?

This course is required for any faculty, staff, or student who needs to drive any van or 7-12 passenger vehicle under 10,000 lbs.  The certificate is as good for FOUR years.  If your certification is four years old or older, you must register for a VAN/TRUCK class immediately.

What will I learn in the Van Driving Class?

  3. Van Driving Safety on City and Highway Roads
  4. Special Considerations for Driving Vans

How can I get information on the Van Driving Class?

The class is held twice a week in 240 FB. Plan for about 45 minutes. To see when the course is offered and to register, please visit our Safety Training Calendar. Call 422-7881 with any questions or concerns.

What if I have a large group of people that need to be Van trained?

If you have a larger group of people (>7) that need to be Van trained, a special class can be set up for them. You will need to provide a room, TV/VCR, and a dry erase or chalk board. Call 422-7881 to schedule a time for the class, at least one week in advance.
