Services

Provide disaster mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery guidance and training to the BYU community.

Provide liaison between BYU and civil emergency response agencies.

Ensure integration between civil and BYU emergency plans and procedures.

Assist BYU organizations with emergency planning and training.

• Development of departmental and organizational plans.
• Development and exercise of building evacuation plans.
• Development of incident prevention and management plans and procedures.

Provide assistance to BYU Wards and Stakes in:

• Preparation and planning for disasters.
• Providing for student needs (food, shelter, medical and psychological) following a disaster.
• Emergency Response training for leadership and student members.

Assist University administrators in prevention and/or management of incident, emergency and
disaster response, to include the operation of an Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
